Alpha Badminton Academy Q & A
Q1: I’m not sure whether to enrol in team training or private training. Which one should I choose?
A:
Team training focuses more on teamwork, physical fitness, basic skills, and consistent practice. It also usually has a longer training duration and is great for students who want to build a strong foundation.
Private training focuses more on individual technique, correction, and specific goals. It is suitable for students who want to improve particular skills or progress faster in certain areas.
For beginner players, we usually recommend team training first, as it helps children build interest, confidence, fitness, and a good training routine.
Q2: What if I can’t find a suitable training time? Can my friends and I arrange our own team training session?
A:
Yes, absolutely. If you have 3 or more players, we can arrange a team training session for your group.
Please contact our Head Coach Jeffrey for more information about available times, locations, and class arrangements.
Q3: What should I do if my child wants to join the youth team training program?
A:
Please contact our Head Coach Jeffrey before joining.
We will arrange a simple 10–15 minute assessment to check your child’s fitness level, basic technique, and overall ability. This helps us recommend the most suitable class for them.
Q4: What should we do if we miss a class for any reason?
A:
As badminton courts and coaches need to be booked in advance, any cancellation or class change must be made at least 48 hours before the class.
Missed classes without sufficient notice may not be eligible for a make-up session or cancellation.
Q5: Can I use Active Kids Vouchers?
A:
Yes. Please contact our Head Coach Jeffrey and provide the Active Kids Voucher ID and your child’s date of birth. Jeffrey will assist with the rest of the process.
Q6: My child’s classmate would like to join. Can they come along?
A:
Yes, of course. Please contact our Head Coach Jeffrey before the class.
New students may need to complete a simple fitness and technique assessment so we can place them in the most suitable class.
Q7: Can my child join team training after the term has already started?
A:
Yes, students can join during the term.
However, training fees are usually based on the full term. Please contact our Head Coach Jeffrey to confirm the available options and fee arrangement.
Q8: What if my child tests positive for COVID-19 or becomes a close contact?
A:
Please don’t worry. Contact our Head Coach Jeffrey as soon as possible before the class starts and provide the relevant test result or details.
We will assist with rescheduling, adjusting, or cancelling the affected class where appropriate.
